Bright Power: Senior Energy Engineer
Oakland, CA - Full Time
Bright Power works with forward thinking real-estate owners and developers to identify, design, and implement custom energy and water solutions on a wide variety of systems. Our team is comprised of a diverse, talented, and hard-working group of individuals committed to growing this industry and to making a positive impact on the environment.

Bright Power is seeking an experienced senior energy engineer to work on the leading edge of the deployment of distributed energy resources into multifamily buildings that is essential to the systemic change required for California to meet its zero carbon mandates. Furthermore, this role champions equity in electrification: an increasing share of our work is focused on bringing electrification to low-income affordable housing.

The candidate will be part of a rapidly growing San Francisco Bay Area office, serving our clients who own and manage multifamily properties in California.

Bright Power: Energy Engineer
Oakland, CA - Full Time
Bright Power works with forward-thinking owners and developers to identify, design, and implement custom energy and water solutions on a wide variety of systems. Our team is comprised of a diverse, talented, and hard-working group of individuals committed to growing this industry and to making a positive impact on the environment.

Bright Power is seeking an adaptable and driven Energy Engineer for our growing Project Development team. Bright Power’s California office functions as a design-build contractor that owns the outcome of distributed energy projects for real estate owners. In this role, you won’t just produce reports, you’ll be responsible for conceiving projects that will be built. You’ll have the satisfaction of seeing installed projects deliver the carbon savings that motivate our whole team to come to work every day.
The Energy Solutions Engineer plays a key role in our sales funnel: receiving properties identified as good candidates by the sales team and developing them into actionable scopes of work that owners will approve and our installation team can execute. Specifically in this role you will design and develop installation projects consisting of multiple distributed energy resources as capital improvement projects. You will leverage your energy auditing and energy management skill set to create exciting project scopes leveraging technologies including primarily energy efficiency, renewables and building electrification, increasingly augmented by energy storage and electric vehicle charging.

Clean Power Alliance: Electrification Program Manager
Clean Power Alliance (CPA) is Southern California’s locally operated non-profit default electricity provider for 32 communities within Los Angeles and Ventura counties and the 5th largest electricity company in the State of California. We provide clean renewable energy at competitive rates to over three million residents and businesses through approximately one million customer accounts.

The Electrification Program Manager will be responsible for implementing CPA’s Building and Transportation Electrification programs. This is a challenging opportunity to play a key role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions through the building and transportation sectors. The Building Electrification program will initially focus on incentivizing municipalities to adopt local codes that encourage buildings to receive more of their power from electricity than natural gas. The Transportation Electrification program will initially focus on providing incentives to non-residential customers to install electric vehicle (EV) chargers that are available for public use. In addition to planning and administering these programs, the Electrification Program Manager will work on regional and state policies that align with the program objectives and overall sectoral decarbonization goals.
