Teddy Kisch is a Decarbonization Strategy Fellow at Energy Solutions, where he focuses on developing innovative strategies to accelerate the clean energy transition. Teddy led the program design and oversees program strategy for TECH Clean California and California's Statewide Electric Emerging Technology Program, one of the largest electric utility ET programs in the country. He is passionate about creating market-based approaches to decarbonize the US energy system, and has taught energy management classes at Stanford and Western Washington Universities.
TECH Clean California (TECH) is a statewide market transformation initiative designed to accelerate the adoption of heat pump space and water heating in California homes. In its first six months of operation, TECH saw strong uptake and enrolled nearly 1000 contractors, reserved and deployed heat pump incentives to over 20,000 single- and multi-family residences, and expended  almost all of its four-year market rate incentive budget. This webinar will provide an overview of the first year’s successes and lessons learned, and help inform heat pump market transformation efforts in California and across the United States.
